SPECS FOR SENDING MIX FILES:

  1. Include a rough mix! It’s important to know what you’ve been listening to and what direction I need to head with your mix. If you have any songs you’d like to listen to as reference or specific notes for the mix, feel free to tell me in an email.

  2. All files should be bounced from the very beginning of the song. This will ensure there are no timing issues and all your sounds will playback where you intend.

  3. We accept files at up to 32 Bit/96 kHz.

  4. Please remove any and all effects from your tracks, especially compression, delays and reverbs. Dry tracks are much easier to work with and I have a wide array of plugins and outboard gear to produce any effects you have in mind; plus I’ll have a rough mix to guide me with any specifics! If you have any specific creative effects like distortion or creative EQ, print those, but please include a dry track as well.

  5. Please name each track/file with a short, but descriptive name ie: Kick, Guitar 1, Lead Vox. It will save tons of time during the set up to already know what each file is.

  6. Please include a note with the tempo of the song.

  7. Don’t combine sounds just to minimize the track count! There’s no need to combine all drums or vocals, it gives me less control and actually makes mixing more difficult. It’s fine to keep all your lead vocals or similar (non-overlapping) ad-libs together on one track, but combining six vocal tracks to one is counterintuitive.

  8. Please zip all files together before sending - downloading files one by one is a very lengthy and tedious process!
